Jozsef, the owner of Protokai Construction is a thoughtful and highly skilled contractor. I am a recently retired general contractor in the coastal San Diego area. I hired his company for multiple jobs as well as referring him to clients that I didn’t have time to help. In late 2022, we bought a house with some major issues related to upermitted construction and water intrusion. Jousef has been helping me for almost a year to work through repairing permitting issues and construction defects as required by the local city. Jousef is not the type of contractor who signs a deal and lets his “people” do the work. He is onsite almost every day that his guys work supervising or is doing the work himself with them. He is meticulous about getting things done to a high standard, and will never offer to simply slap together a quick fix. So far Jousef has helped us rehab an unpermitted ADU (originally built without a foundation or proper wiring), rehab an unpermitted cliff-side garage (also built without permits and lacking a proper foundation or a steep hillside) and correct foundation issues with a concrete deck.
